Terms of Service
1. The service
Klaustar is a mobile app operated by Chatztime Digital Limited ("Klaustar", "we") that lets people in Nigeria discover, join, and host small in-person social activities. Klaustar provides the platform; the activities themselves are organised and attended by users.
2. Who can use Klaustar
- You must be 18 or older.
- You must complete identity verification — a valid National Identification Number (NIN) and a matching selfie — before you can join or host activities.
- One account per person, registered with your own phone number and your real identity.
3. Hosting and joining activities
- Hosts are responsible for the activities they create: accurate descriptions, a real location, and showing up.
- Participants are expected to honour the spots they take. Repeated no-shows and cancellations affect your standing on the platform.
- Attendance is confirmed in the app (for example by QR check-in); ratings and track records are built from confirmed attendance.
4. Payments
Some platform features are paid. Payments are processed by Paystack; Klaustar does not store your card details. Paid platform features are distinct from any costs of an activity itself (such as a venue's own entry fee), which are between you and the venue or host.
5. Conduct
Klaustar exists so people can meet safely. We remove content and accounts that put that at risk, including: harassment or hate, fraudulent or misleading activities, impersonation, activities involving anything illegal, and any attempt to bypass identity verification. Use the in-app report and block tools — reports are reviewed by our moderation team.
6. Your safety
We verify identities, confirm attendance, and provide safety tools, but meeting people in person always carries risk, and you attend activities at your own judgement. Meet in public places, and use the in-app safety features. Klaustar is not a party to what happens at an activity.
7. Termination
You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Account → Delete Account). We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms or put other users at risk.
8. Liability, disputes, and governing law
These sections are being prepared with our legal counsel and will be published in the final terms before public launch. These terms will be governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
